Junior doctors resume medical services

Fri 05 Apr 2019, 12:46:31
Osmania Medical College junior doctors who boycotted elective medical services on Wednesday have resumed duties from Thursday after pending stipends were paid to them. However, the junior doctors (post-graduate students) said that they will continue to pursue the issue of pending arrears. The junior doctors earlier said that while their stipends were supposed to be increased from January 2018, it was hiked in September of the year,

and they want the hike in stipend to be paid effective from January, in the form of arrears.

They continued to stage protest on the college premises on Thursday against Health Minister Eatala Rajender attending a meeting organised by Rural Medical Practitioners (RMP) and Private Medical Practitioners (PMP) Welfare Association on Tuesday in Karimnagar.
