A tight security ring was thrown around the Osmania General Hospita (OGH) on Wednesday as junior doctors resumed work.Multiple entry points were sealed off and security per sonnel were deployed at the emergency and casualty ward as well as the old building.
“We are doing everything to make the hospital environment conducive for our doctors. After scanning the building personally, we have iden tified several spots that need CCTV camera coverage,“ said Dr Ramesh Reddy, director medical education.

doctors went on a strike from July 30 after relatives of a patient attacked the ir colleagues. Nearly 250 junior doctors and house surgeons boycotted their duties, de manding security for them and action against those in volved in the attack.
“Deployment of extra personnel and setting up of CCTV cameras will take a while. But fulfilling the de mands of the doctors is our highest priority right now,“ added Dr Reddy.
The incident left medicos demoralised, he said.
