Mahabubnagar: Jurala project has been receiving steady inflows from upstream and the water level in the project is just a notch away from reaching the Full Reservoir Level capacity.
While the inflows are 15,600 cusecs into the project, total outflows are 20,809 cusecs.
The current water level in the project is 318.40 metres against FRL capacity of 318.51 meters. In terms of storage capacity, the current
storage is 9.41 tmc against full storage of 9.65 tmc.
Apart from rains, irrigation officials attributed the steady inflows due to repairs being taken up in crest gates of Narayanpur project in Karnataka. As a result, water is being released downstream to Jurala project.
About 17,264 cusecs are being released downstream from Jurala project to Srisailam for power generation.
