Justice Alok Aradhe was on Sunday sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court at Raj Bhavan, where Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office. Justice Aradhe became the sixth Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court.
Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, his Cabinet colleagues, High Court judges, prominent persons from the judiciary, public representatives and bureaucrats attended the event.
Rao’s last visit to Raj Bhavan was on June
28 last year for the swearing in ceremony of the fifth Chief Justice of Telangana High Court, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan.
Before the swearing-in, the High Court registrar read out the warrant issued by President Droupadi Murmu on July 18, appointing Justice Alok Aradhe as the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court.
Justice Aradhe succeeds Chief Justice Bhuyan, who has since been elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court.
