Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao will turn 66 on Monday, and party leaders are making arrangements to celebrate the event. Leaders have planned mega plantation and charity programmes, health camps, exhibition of photographs of Mr Rao and distribution of wheelchairs.
The programmes will be held in the city as well as the state. Several songs
written on Mr Rao were released by party leaders on Sunday. The lyrics were based on the Telangana movement, Mr Rao’s role in it and the welfare programmes and developments activities that he has initiated. The lyrics describe Mr Rao as ‘Telangana Bapu’.
KCR Seva Mandali on Sunday distributed crutches to the needy.
