Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha on Monday slammed the Congress-led Telangana government, accusing it of diverting people's attention by filing cases against film stars.
Her remarks came against the backdrop of reports claiming Congress's involvement in the recent attack on the Hyderabad residence of 'Pushpa 2' actor Allu Arjun.
Hitting out at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led state government for not fulfilling its poll guarantees, Kavitha said that the grand old party is trying to divert people's attention, and BRS has exposed them.
"The Congress party in Telangana is at
its best in diverting people's attention from their real issues and raising frivolous issues like filing cases against film stars, etc. Congress has miserably failed in fulfilling its six guarantees. BRS has exposed them. So to hide their failures, now they are bringing up new issues and trying to divert the attention of people and people have now understood this very clearly and people have started questioning this government, and they will continue to do so," the BRS MLC told news agency ANI.
Earlier today, a BRS leader claimed that the main accused, who led the attack on Sunday evening, was connected to the Telangana Chief Minister.
