Kavitha said that Modi and Rahul Gandhi had given false statements in their meetings. Rahul had said that TRS party had not fulfilled the demand of ‘neellu, nidhulu and niyamakalu’. The MP said that Congress party had filled only 22,000 job vacancies in their regime, but TRS had given notifications to fill 1.07 lakh posts. Because of Congress and TDP policies, the SRSP and Nizamsagar projects had dried up, she pointed out.
Opposition bigwigs are stating false statements in their meetings and misguiding Telangana people with their speeches, said Nizamabad MP K Kavitha. She was responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s public meetings held in various places in Telangana.
Kavitha was speaking at a media meet along with Nizamabad Urban TRS candidate Bigala Ganesh Gupta in Nizamabad.
“Gandhi family is contesting from Amethi and Raibareli from last 50 years, but the Human Development Index there and other facilities are
very minimal. Rahul is talking about Telangana, which is far better than the constituencies headed by them,” the MP added.
Kavitha said in last four-and-a-half years, the Congress had not supported turmeric farmers, but Rahul Gandhi was now saying that they would set up a turmeric board in future. Kavitha said that in next Parliament session, they would raise turmeric board issue to see if the Congress really has the intention to support this issue.
Kavitha demanded that Congress party should support the 12 per cent reservation to Muslims and Scheduled Tribes and extend support on turmeric board Issue. They should fight for national status to Kaleshwaram project, give I-T exemption to Singareni workers and provide incentives to Telangana industries, she said.
If Congress party and Rahul Gandhi have the intention to support Telangana people, they should extend their support in Parliament on these issues, the MP added.
