BRS MLC K Kavitha condemned filing of cases and arrests of the party activists and warned the Congress government against targeting BRS activists and harassing them with legal cases for exposing its failures on social media. She said the party legal team would fight these cases on behalf of the party activists. The Congress government was silencing dissent on social media and neglecting public welfare, she said.

In a meeting with BRS leaders from Korutla constitunecy at her residence here on Monday, Kavitha contrasted the Congress’s actions with the previous BRS government.

“During the BRS regime, no matter how harsh the criticisms from Congress leaders, we never resorted to such vindictive action,” she said, urging the BRS activists to gear up for local body elections and expose the Congress government’s failures.

“Real party workers are those who stand firm in challenging

times,” she said.

The BRS MLC said the Chief Minister and Ministers were competing with each other to insult one another. While Telangana witnessed fund flow during the K Chandrashekhar Rao regime, she said the people are witnessing the flow of curses under the Revanth Reddy government.

In a separate meeting with All India Padmasali Sangam leaders, Kavitha condemned the BJP for imposing GST on handloom products, pointing out that no such taxes were imposed even during the British rule. She also criticised the Congress for failing to fulfill its pre-election promise to reimburse the GST on handloom products.

Padmasali Sangham leaders including its national president Kandagatla Swami, thanked Kavitha for submitting a report on behalf of Telangana Jagruthi, to the BC Dedicated Commission in support of the BC caste census. She assured them of necessary support in addressing their concerns.
