Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday allotted 2 acres to the Jain community in Uppal Bhagayat for the construction of Jain Bhavan. The CM also exempted land lease charges for Mahavir Hospital in Masab Tank, which is extending affordable medical services for people for the past several years.
The CM announced these decisions in the meeting held with Jain community leaders in Secretariat on Monday. The Jain community thanked the CM for the allotment of land to Jain Bhavan and for the recent Cabinet decision to include the Jain community in Telangana Minorities Commission.
The CM stated that the state
government is committed to the welfare and development of minorities in the state. The CM said that the land of Telangana state symbolises the culture of "Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb" and vowed that his government is always committed to preserving secularism and religious harmony.
In the meeting, Jain community leaders requested the CM to allot
land for the construction of Jain Bhavan in the city. Jain Mahavir Hospital chairman and community leaders also requested CM to exempt land lease charges for Mahavir Hospital in Masab Tank. The CM responded positively to their requests.
