Coal miners in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) erupted in joyous celebrations over Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s announcement of 27% share to the Singareni workers in the profit made by the state-owned company during 2017-18.
The Chief Minister directed the SCCL Chairman and Managing Director that the employees and workers should be entitled for an enhanced profit share of 27 per cent as against 25 per cent given last year.
He also said that the Performance Related Pay (PRP), which
has been due for the last 8 years to Singareni officers, should also be paid immediately. He assured the Singareni Company officers that the government would allot land to them in Hyderabad for housing.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs 10 lakh interest free loan facility to officers and other employees for building houses on a par with Singareni workers. He suggested that henceforth the Singareni workers should be addressed as employees without discriminating them from other staff.
