KCR announces state funeral for S Jaipal Reddy today

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said veteran leader S. Jaipal Reddy, who died on Sunday, will be cremated here on Monday with full state honours.

The Chief Minister also expressed deep condolences at the passing of Jaipal Reddy  and recalled his services as Union minister.

Mr Rao visited the residence of Jaipal Reddy, paid his respects to the



departed leader and consoled the bereaved family.

The Chief Minister ordered that the last rites of the late leader be performed with full state honours and instructed Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi to make necessary arrangements.

The last rites would be performed between 1 pm and 1.30 pm next to PV Ghat.
