Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao made an aerial survey of the mid-manair and Yellampalli projects on Monday and reviewed the flood situation.
The Chief Minister also inspected the breach developed on the project. Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma, Minister Harish Rao, and MPs Vinod Kumar and Balka Suman accompanied the CM.
KCR asked the minister, MP, MLAs and other people's
representatives to stay put in their home districts and constituencies and take stock of the situation arising out of the heavy rains and monitor the relief measures accordingly.
The Chief Minister, who was scheduled to reach Karimnagar by helicopter, took the road route due to inclement weather conditions. Meanwhile in the day, authorities opened six gates of mid-manair projects after heavy inflow of rain water in the upper manair.
