Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who filed nominations from Kamareddy and Gajwel on Thursday, declared Rs 58.92 crore as the assets belonging to his wife Shoba and himself. Interestingly, he listed agricultural income of Rs 1.44 crore from 53 acres of farm land.
In his affidavit, he said he had no car. He faces nine cases, registered during the statehood movement, including for snatching mikes and cameras from journalists and throwing them into the Hussainsagar Lake during the Million March.
Rao in the affidavit said he had invested Rs 4.16 crore in Telangana Publishing Limited, Rs 2.31 crore in T News (Telangana Broadcasting Limited). He had 95 grams gold, diamonds worth Rs 17.4 lakh. Shoba Rao had 2,841 grams gold, 45 kg silver and diamonds worth Rs 1.49 crore. His liabilities were Rs 17.27 crore. He possessed Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) properties of Rs 9.81 crore.
In 2014, Chandrashekar listed Rs 15 crore properties and Rs 7 crore liabilities and in 2018, Rs 23 crore. The number of cases stood at 61 in 2014.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and wife listed Rs 61 crore properties, Shailiama possessing Rs 33 crore properties and Rama Rao Rs 17 crore. Rama Rao said he had invested in At Home Hospitality and Telangana Broadcasting.
Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy, who filed his papers from Munugode, is the richest
contestant so far. He and his wife Laxmi Reddy possessed Rs 458 crore properties and liabilities at Rs 4.14 crore. His income-tax returns was for Rs 71.17 crore, against Rs 36.55 lakh in 2019. He faces four cases.
As per the affidavit, he invested in Sushee Infra and Mining Limited Rs 239 crore. He does not have a car. Laxmi Reddy has 3,996 grams gold, diamonds and 20 kg silver worth Rs 2.07 crore. His immovable assets stood at `77 crore and his wife Rs 26 crore.

Mohd Azharuddin (Congress, Jubilee Hills): Rs 17 crore asets, nine cases including cheque bounce and cheating.
N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Padmavathi (Congress, Huzurnagar, Kodad): Uttam Kumar Reddy Rs 6 crore assets and Rs 36 lakh liabilities. Padmavathi Rs 2 crore assets and Rs 48 lakh liabilities.
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka (Congress, Madhira): Rs 2 crore properties, and his family Rs 4 crore.
