Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has called on a language war in the state after declaring Urdu as the second official language in Telangana.
KCR has even asked all the government offices to receive all petitions in Urdu as well while stating that all the competitive examinations will be conducted also in Urdu.
Opposing this move, BJP questioned as to why Hindi
and English are not being considered for the same.
Calling it a Muslim appeasement move, BJP spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao strongly condemned the decision adding that it is impractical as people prefer reading English or Hindi which are also a valuable addition to the jobs.
He further stated that they reject the move as it would result in splurging of public money and nothing else.
