Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar launched his three-day election campaign for his party in Karnataka on Thursday attacking the Congress party declaring that a vote for the Congress is "as good as a vote discarded in a drain". Sanjay was campaigning in Gauribidanur, and Bagepalli Assembly constituencies ahead of the May 10 polling in that state.
Sanjay said that the Congress’s campaign was being funded by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. "The Congress is readying to distribute Rs 10,000 per vote. All of this money is being sent by KCR. KCR is very clever. Until the other day, he was supporting and funding the JD (S). Now that it has become clear that JD (S) will not win in these elections, he is supporting the Congress campaign," Sanjay said. He remarked that the
Congress is not in power at the Centre, and that voting for that party would not benefit Karnataka or its people.
"If you vote for it by mistake, then it is as good as throwing your vote away in a drain. Instead, vote for the BJP which will usher in development," he said. In Bagepalli, Sanjay stated that the BJP candidate Muniraj had worked tirelessly for the people during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic.
"You have to decide what kind of a representative you want, one who works for you even under trying conditions, or someone who does not care for you, or the Congress which wants to buy your votes. If development and better opportunities for people is what voters want, then they should vote for the BJP," he said.
