BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Monday stressed the need to develop a more effective leadership "in tune with the aspiration of the people of the country", while laying a marked emphasis on youth development.

The Chief Minister said that to make future leaders, youngsters must be educated and trained in political, social, economic, cultural and ideological fields.

Laying the foundation stone for Bharat Bhavan (Centre for Excellence and Human Resource Development) at Kokapet on Monday, the Chief Minister said that current-day India needs effective leadership that understands the aspirations of the people of the country.

"It is our responsibility to develop leaders and help them contribute to society. We will invite renowned intellectuals and noble laureates from all over the world and provide leadership training. We will develop leadership that helps to give good governance to the people. Thus, we will work to consolidate the democratic

structure of the country. As part of that, we have taken a decision to establish the ‘Political Excellence and HRD’ centre," the Chief Minister said.

Chandrashekar Rao said that experienced political scientists, economists, sociologists, writers, professors and retired officials who have contributed to society will be invited to provide political, social and economic training.

He said that social activists, politicians and leaders from all over the country will also have access to the comprehensive information available at Bharat Bhavan.

Explaining the significance of the Bharat Bhavan, the Chief Minister said that facilities would be provided to those who seek to hold training and those who undergo the training. "Training classrooms, mini halls with projectors, spacious meeting halls, digital libraries with the latest technology, and luxury rooms for accommodation will be constructed in the building," he said.
