Chief Minister and BRS party president K Chandrashekar Rao filed his nomination from Gajwel on Thursday morning. This is the third straight time he is contesting from Gajwel, which he won from in the 2014 and 2018 elections.
Chandrashekar Rao, who flew from his farm house in Erravalli village to Gajwel, was greeted by thousands of BRS leaders and workers who lined up in
the town and at the helipad.
After filing his nomination, Chandrashekar Rao got on to a BRS campaign vehicle and went around the helipad greeting people who gathered at the spot. Later he left by helicopter for Kamareddy where is scheduled to file his nomination for the second constituency he is contesting from.
