Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and K Chandrashekhar Rao respectively are likely to meet in Hyderabad on June 28 and 29 to discuss Godavari water sharing for both the States.
A team of Irrigation officials, including special AP Chief Secretary (Irrigation) is also likely to attend the meet. The two CMs recently met in Amaravati
and held preliminary discussion on how to utilize the Godavari waters. The leaders agreed to utilize 1,480 tmcft of Godavari water and 811 tmcft of Krishna water allocated to the combined AP.
Now, both the CMs are likely to have another round of talks in Hyderabad. Later, officials will have further talks in Vijayawada.
