Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday ordered the immediate release of water from Nagarjuna Sagar left canal to ensure irrigation to two lakh acres in Khammam district.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office the instructions were issued following an appeal from Sattupalli



MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraraghav who met with the Chief Minister at Pragati Bhavan on Saturday.

Veeraiah in a submission to the Chief minister said standing crops in Sathupalli, Wyra, Khammam, Paleru and Madhira constituencies were stressed without water and needed urgent intervention to save them.
