KCR promises to adopt Nalgonda after polls

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday assured that he would adopt Nalgonda Assembly constituency if the people elect TRS candidate Kancharla Bhupal Reddy in the ensuing elections.

Speaking at the ‘Praja Ashirvada Sabha’ here, the Chief Minister said that originally, he had planned to contest from Nalgonda Assembly constituency in view of the political situation.
 
But, the people of Gajwel, his constituency, brought pressure on him to contest from Gajwel, he said. “On the other side, Kancharla Bhupal Reddy has joined the TRS and he is capable of winning the election. With this, I had withdrawn from the decision to contest from Nalgonda Assembly constituency,” he added.

Stating that he would adopt Nalgonda Assembly constituency after the elections, the Chief Minister assured that along with the Ministers and Chief Secretary, he would camp in



Nalgonda for a day after elections to prepare a plan for the development of the constituency.

Reminding that Nalgonda town was still struggling with the issues of narrow roads and underground drainage system, he assured that he would turn Nalgonda Assembly constituency as an icon of development if Bhupal Reddy was voted to power. He also promised a ring road to Nalgonda.

Speaking in Urdu keeping in mind the huge number of Muslims attending the meeting, the Chief Minister assured that he would sanction funds from his special fund for construction of double bedroom houses for all shelterless poor in the constituency.

Telangana Rashtra Rythu Samanvaya Samithi president Gutha Sukender Reddy, TRS candidate of Nalgonda Assembly Constituency Kancharla Bhupal Reddy, MLC Pula Ravinder and others were also present.
