KCR reaches Telangana Assembly for budget session

BRS president and Leader of Opposition K Chandrashekhar Rao reached the Assembly on Wednesday ahead of the budget session beginning today.

Chandrashekhar Rao, who was attending the Assembly session after quite a long time, reached the Assembly to a warm welcome from party MLAs who were waiting for him. He then held a meeting with them at his chambers before heading for the session, which will have the Governor’s address from 11 am.

Chandrashekhar Rao had on Tuesday directed the party legislators to go for a no holds barred attack on the Congress government, holding it accountable for its unfulfilled poll promises, including the six guarantees.

Speaking at a three-hour marathon meeting of the BRS Legislature Party



(BRSLP) held at Telangana Bhavan, he had pointed out that the Congress was given 15 months to get its act right. Listing out how discontent was growing among all sections of the public, he had asked the MLAs to question the ruling party on the worsening conditions across the State.

He had also outlined a hard-hitting strategy to take on the Congress, focusing on farmer distress, power shortages, irrigation failures and unfulfilled welfare schemes that had left every section of the public upset. He wanted the party legislators to corner the government on the drying up of crops, burning of motors, lack of irrigation water, drinking water shortage and the poor conditions in Gurukul schools and public services as well.
