Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will leave for Delhi on Friday to meet Prime Minister Modi to discuss demonetisation. Rao spoke to Modi over phone on Thursday about the issue. Modi wanted Rao to be available in Delhi on Friday. This has put an end to the speculation that Rao would unite CMs of all states against demonetisation. Rao will not join anti-Modi rallies led by West Bengal chief minsiter Mamata
Banerjee.
Modi also wanted Rao to come with suggestions in writing to mitigate the difficulties people are facing post-demonetisation. “We have to extend support to the PM, if demonetisation process will clean up the country’s economy,” Rao said. “Any reform process is continuous. When thinkers and intellectuals work together, it would be nothing but success,” he further said.
