Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's cataract surgery was successful and he can return to the city on Friday and resume work from the very next day , renowned eye specialist Dr Mahipal S Sachdev, who had operated on him, said on Thursday .

KCR's son and minister KTR, daughter and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and nephew and minister Harish Rao and other family members and ministers were present when he underwent the surgery that lasted for about half-an-hour.
