Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called on Union Minister for Power, Coal, Renewable Energy and Mines, Piyush Goyal in New Delhi on Sunday and sought Centre’s help to the new state on the energy front.
According to sources, during the lengthy meeting, which was held at Shram Shakthi Bhavan in the national capital, the Chief Minister requested the Union Power Minister to grant

all permissions to set up new thermal power projects in the State including Bhadradri thermal power plant.
Chandrasekhar Rao sought the intervention of the Union Power Ministry for getting all required exemptions from the Centre for use of sub-critical technology in the Bhadradri power plant as a few days ago the project’s environmental appraisal application was set aside.
