IT minister K.T.Rama Rao said that his father and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao were yet to recover completely from viral fever and cough. Rama Rao said the CM had developed a bacterial infection due to which recovery was taking longer than usual.
The CM has been suffering from viral fever and cough since September 20 and has been confined to Pragathi Bhavan, not making any public appearances or meetings with officials. The last time the pictures of the CM were shared by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) was on September 18 when he
performed Ganesh puja at Pragathi Bhavan.
To a question on the CM's health, Rama Rao told a news channel, "He unfortunately had a secondary infection, a bacterial infection. So it is taking longer than usual. In fact, his viral (fever) subsided and then the bacterial (infection) started. He has some infection in his chest. But he should be out in a day or two."
Chandrashekar Rao cancelled his programme to launch the CM's Breakfast Scheme in Rangareddy district on Friday.
