Khammam Collector directs officials to expedite Nagarjuna Sagar project canal repair works

Khammam: In the wake of protests by farmers and farmers associations demanding immediate release of water for paddy fields in NSP ayacut, district Collector Muzammil Khan inspected Palair left canal repair works on Friday.

The Collector has directed the Irrigation Officials to execute the left canal bed repair works on a war



footing basis and complete works by night to supply irrigation water to the farmers.

Chief engineer Vidyasagar informed the Collector that of the six metres canal bed, work on more than three metres has been completed.

Irrigation EE Ananya and others were present.
