AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of not meeting common people but only the rich and those from the land, mining, sand and liquor mafias.
He promised that if Congress is voted to power, their Chief Minister will interact with everyone during 'praja darbars' every day.
"Rao lives in a farmhouse and does not meet the poor but is available for the rich and mafia operators," Kharge alleged at a rally in Narsapur in Medak district.
He assured farmers that they will receive Rs 15,000 per acre per year under Rythu Bharosa from the New Year after Congress forms the government next
month.
The BRS government is giving Rs 10,000 per acre per year under Rythu Bandhu only to those people who have lands registered in their names. But the farmers-friendly Congress government will extend the Rythu Bharosa benefits not only to farmers owning lands but also to tenant farmers and agriculture labourers, who will get Rs 12,000 per acre per year," the Congress president added.
Accusing the Chief Minister of looting the people of Telangana, Kharge said, "Rao stole public money from the ORR project, Dharani portal and Kaleshwaram. In 2014, Telangana was a surplus state. Today, it has a loan of Rs 5.60 lakh crore".
