The Hyderabad High Court has directed the Telangana government to file a counter affidavit along with producing records of police orders denying permission for Koluvula Kai Kotlata (fight for jobs) planned by Telangana Joint Action Committee on October 31.

Questioning the government whether all kind of meetings and rallies are being denied permissions keeping in view of the Assembly session or only TJAC is being denied permission, the Court said that the counter

affidavit should include the number of applications received so far seeking permission for meetings or rallies along with them being rejected in the wake of the ongoing Assembly session.

With the case being adjourned to November 6, TJAC chairman Kodandaram failed to get approval for the proposed meeting on October 31 and undertook a 24-hour protest at his residence on Tuesday protesting the Telangana government’s attitude against his rallies and meetings.
