Komatireddy Venkat Reddy takes charge of office

Minister for roads and buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy assumed office to a warm welcome from officials of the department at Secretariat on Sunday. His brother and Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy was present on the occasion. The minister was blessed by purohits on the occasion.

Speaking to media personnel later, Venkat Reddy, who had resigned from the Cabinet during the



statehood agitation, said that he would meet Union minister Nitin Gadkari soon regarding the widening of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway.

Increasing its capacity will substantially reduce travel time between the two cities, he said adding that the TS government is committed to improve road connectivity and infrastructure.
