Endowment minister Konda Surekha on Wednesday met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and requested him to provide funds for the Sammakka- Saralamma Medaram Jatara which will be held from February 21 to February 24, 2024.

The endowments department is making all arrangements for the four-day long festival -- the first one after Revanth Reddy took charge as the Chief Minister in Telangana. During the meeting, Surekha submitted a formal letter to the Chief Minister, who responded positively to the



request.

In the four-day festival, the organisers would bring Saralamma from Kannepalli to Gadde in Medaram on February 21. On the same day, the organisers would also bring Pagididda Raju from Punukondla, Nagulamma and Govinda Raju from Kondai to Gadde. On February 22, Sammakka would be brought to Gadde, setting off the celebrations. On February 24, Sammakka and Saralamma would retire from Chikalagutta, which will conclude the festival.
