Industries and Commerce Minister K T Rama Rao broke ground for new factories of Daifuku Intralogistics India and Nicomac Taikisha Clean Rooms in Chandanvelly on Friday. The two companies would invest Rs 575 crore and generate about 1600-2000 direct jobs, along with at least 4000 indirect jobs, prioritising hiring local candidates for these positions.
Daifuku is the world’s leading provider of automated material handling technology and solutions. Taikisha, a 110-year-old Japan based engineering company, is a pioneer in setting up cleanrooms and HVAC for electronic devices, lithium-ion battery manufacturing, and the food industry (hydroponic farming). Taikisha acquired Nicomac Cleanrooms.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao praised the rapid
development of Japan and said its culture is an inspiration for Telangana's future. He highlighted Japan's resilience and emergence as a formidable economic power, even in the face of limited natural resources, numerous challenges imposed by nature, and the impact of a nuclear attack.
Rama Rao highlighted the potential for Chandanvelly region to become the crucial industrial cluster in Telangana. He expressed confidence in the potential of Daifuku and Nicomac Taikisha to become leaders in their respective fields in India. The minister extended an invitation to establish a Japanese cluster in Telangana.
Daifuku adopted an ITI in Vikarabad, ensuring training and opportunities for the youth.
