TRS working president and IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Monday said Hyderabad, which used to be the back office for Information Technology (IT) in the past, had now become the backbone of the sector in the country.
Besides being the vaccine capital of the world, Hyderabad is now also the heart of Google, lifeline for Amazon and Apple and favourite destination for Facebook, he said, proposing a resolution on Administrative reforms, power, industries, IT and infrastructure at the TRS plenary session at Hitex here.
To keep pace with the rapid development, the State government has accorded top priority to law and order. In the past, there were just two police Commissionerates that have now been increased to nine police Commissionerates, he said. “In India, Telangana is first in safety and best in security,” Rama Rao said amidst cheering and clapping from the delegates.
The administrative and agriculture reforms introduced in the State have not only become a model for other States but also for the entire country, he said, adding: “The farming community now says KCR full form stands for kaluvalu, cheruvulu and reservoirs.” The TRS working president also said that in the past, there used to be a slogan: “What Bengal does today, India follows tomorrow and it has now changed to what Telangana does today, India does tomorrow.”
In connection with the country’s 75 years of Independence, the Central government had convened a special meeting couple of years ago and sought suggestions from all political parties on the measures to be adopted for development, he said. “During the meeting, on behalf of TRS party, I had recommended the three I’s formula stressing on Innovation, Infrastructure and Inclusive Growth. If this mantra is implemented effectively, it would pave the way for Naya Bharat,” said
Rama Rao.
In the last seven years, the TRS government had introduced several reforms including administrative and this had aided in delivering good governance, besides development of the State, he said. In united Andhra Pradesh, Gangadevpally in Warangal was the only ideal village. After Telangana government introduced Palle Pragathi programme, several villages had now transformed into ideal villages for others to fallow and were even bagging awards from the Central government, he pointed out.
‘KCR transformed Telangana’
The sacrifices made by TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and the difficulties and challenges he faced in achieving Telangana State are unmatched and unparalleled, former Assembly Speaker Madhusudhana Chary said on Monday.
With his vision and commitment for the State development, the Chief Minister transformed Telangana into a political force to reckon with, he said, introducing a resolution on congratulating the re-elected president at the party TRS plenary here.
“On behalf of all the TRS party leaders and workers, I whole heartedly congratulate Chandrashekhar Rao on being unanimously elected as the TRS president for the ninth time,” he said, amidst jubilant scenes. Chandrashekhar Rao set up the party when political leaders from the region were even frightened to demand projects for Telangana region’s development. “When he launched TRS, I too had my own apprehensions. But the way the TRS chief explained his vision and plans to achieve Telangana, it instilled confidence in me,” said Madhusudhana Chary.
“In the past, Chandrashekhar even resigned as MP during the UPA regime according top priority to the Telangana cause. This was even mentioned by former President Pranab Mukherjee in his book,” he added.
