Minister of IT and Industries, Govt. of Telangana, Mr. KT Rama Rao met Mr. Urjit Patel, Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and other industrialists in Mumbai and sought their cooperation for investing in Telangana State. He also addressed the annual meeting of the global investors.
On Monday morning, he met Ms. Chanda Kochhar, CEO of ICICI bank. He talked to her on Telangana Industrial Health Clinic, Women Entrepreneurship, Digital Initiatives and other matters. He requested her to be a partner of the fund initiated by Telangana Govt. Later, he met Sajan Jindal, Chairman and MD of JSW Group. He appealed to him to invest in Telangana. Mr. Jindal applauded the vision proposed by Mr. KTR for the industrial development of Telangana. He further said that if other leaders of the country also have the passion and views like Mr. KTR, the country would progress
soon.
He met Mr. Nilesh Gupta, MD of Lohan Group and persuaded him to invest in Pharma City of Telangana. He participated in the evening at the annual meeting of the global investors. He addressed them on startup program in Telangana. Mr. KTR said that the industrial policy of Telangana is being appreciated in the entire country.
Mr.KTR appealed to Urjit Patel to strengthen small scale industries in Telangana and said that they contribute to the extent of 45% in the economic development. He made a complaint to the Governor of RBI that the guidelines for Techno Viability Study have been violated. He said that the nationalized bank identified NPA for the small scale industry in Jamikunta and auctioned it within 15 days. He informed the Governor that there are 69,120 recognized small scale industries out of which, 8,618 are defunct.
