Municipal Administration Minister K Taraka Rama Rao expressed displeasure over the tardy progress of road repair works by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials in the city. Speaking after a review meeting held at the GHMC headquarters here on Thursday, KTR pulled up the officials of engineering wing for failing to maintain city roads.
Annoyed at the shoddy execution of works, the Minister asked them to change their style
of functioning while discharging duties. “You should immediately take up repair works and show your commitment,” he said.
The Minister asked officials to submit a report on the city roads and steps being taken for making the roads user-friendly. Further, the Minister directed the HMDA, GHMC, Water Board officials to co-ordinate and ensure that the Hussain Sagar cleaning project was completed within the proposed time.
