Rajanna-Sircilla: IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao said the face of Rajanna-Sircilla district would change once the train service, which would play a vital role in the development, was introduced.
At a review meeting at Upper-Manair reservoir guesthouse in Narmala of Gambhiraopet mandal on Monday, Rama Rao instructed officials to clear the decks to take up railway line works by acquiring 845 acres of land required for the purpose.
He instructed officials to follow the alignment plan while taking up land acquisition and wanted them to do it in an error-free manner, not giving any scope for legal complications. The Minister also instructed the officials to interlink Thangallapalli railway station cargo with Akwa hub and carefully take up utility shifting in railway alignment.
The Minister asked officials to construct a road-cum-railway bridge across the backwaters of Mid-Manair reservoir on the lines of Dowleswaram barrage and directed them to prepare proposals in this regard. He said the bridge should be linked to Sircilla outer ring road.
People of
the district would get the train facility shortly if the land acquisition process was completed on a fast-track. Besides travelling to Hyderabad and other places at lower fares, farmers would be able to transport their agriculture produce to other parts of the country, Rama Rao said.
Reviewing the progress of the Kaleshwaram project package 9, 10, 11 and 12, Rama Rao sought to know the reasons behind the delay in package 9 works and urged them to complete the same at the earliest. He also directed RDO Srinivas Rao to complete pending works of package 10, 11 and 12.
Water would be available through the year between Upper-Manair and Mid-Manair reservoir once the work on 25 check dams — being constructed in Sircilla constituency (10), Vemulawada segment (9) and 6 others — was completed.
He said they managed to store 6.6 tmc by filling 374 tanks with Kaleshwaram water. Rama Rao instructed district panchayat officer to draw water maps of Kaleshwaram project in all schools, educational institutions and gram panchayat offices by next Telangana Formation Day.
