BRS working president KT Rama Rao blamed the Congress government for pushing Telangana into crisis with its negligence and corruption. He held Chief Minister Revanth Reddy responsible for the drought-like conditions across the State and demanded immediate relief for farmers.

“Despite our warnings, this incompetent government did not act. Farmers are suffering, crops are drying up, and farmers’ livelihoods are severely affected. This is not a natural drought but one caused by Congress’s inaction with regard to the Kaleshwaram project,” he said. He called the Agriculture Department’s preliminary report – which confirmed crop failures – a slap in the face to the Congress government.

Slamming the government for failing to waive farm loans or provide Rythu Bharosa investment support, Rama Rao demanded Rs 25,000 per acre as compensation for every farmer whose crops had dried up. “If Congress does not act, we will join hands with the farmers to teach a befitting lesson,” he warned.

The BRS working president charged the Congress regime

with running a mafia-like administration, looting land and wealth under various pretexts. He said that the government was indulging in corrupt practices and harassment of the poor in the name of HYDRAA demilitions, Musi River rejuvenation, and Regional Ring Road projects, while Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s family was profiting from real estate deals under the guise of Fourth City.

“The Congress leaders, who opposed liquor sales, are now making illegal deals under the guise of price revisions and introduction of new brands. They promised six guarantees, but those who question them are thrown in jail,” he charged.

Rama Rao also criticised the Congress for failing to provide loan waivers, crop procurement, PRC for employees, DA hikes, one tola gold for women, or employment creation. He accused the ruling party of betraying the poor and destroying Telangana’s economy. “In just 15 months, Congress has reduced Telangana from an economic powerhouse to a State in distress. What we see today is not governance, but a circus company exploiting the people,” he declared.
