Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao was seen arguing with Enforcement Directorate officials over the arrest of his sister K Kavitha in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. She was arrested on Friday following raids by the probe agency at her residence in Hyderabad.
In the video, KTR can be seen telling the ED officials that they are "in serious trouble" as they have violated the probe agency's undertaking before the Supreme Court that no “coercive action” will be taken against K
Kavitha.
Facing the camera, KTR slams an ED official while holding up a document. He said the official said the arrest warrant had been produced after the search was completed, but there was no transit warrant.
"You have the legal remedy available," an ED official could be heard saying in response.
K Kavitha is being taken to Delhi later tonight, according to senior BRS leader Prasanth Reddy. According to Reddy, the agency officials booked a flight ticket for Kavitha before they came to her house.
