IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao on Thursday threw a challenge yet again at TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, stating that he would quit politics if TRS does not return to power in the 2019 elections. He asked the Congress leader if he was willing to do the same if his party was defeated in the next election.

Addressing a public meeting, ‘Pragathi Sabha’ in NSP Camp Ground in Miryalaguda, Rama Rao reminded that he

had thrown the same challenge at the TPCC president, but he had not responded to it properly.

He wondered why Uttam Kumar Reddy was scared to take up the challenge if he was confident of Congress coming to power in the State. “If he does not respond, we will then consider it as the TPCC president accepting the fact that his party would be defeated in the next elections,” he said.
