BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday accused the BJP of being behind paper leaks for recruitment exams, and asked Union minister BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy whether any BJP-ruled state has recruited more youth in jobs than Telangana in the last ten years.
Addressing a meeting of BRS cadres in Kamareddy, Rama Rao said Kishan Reddy, who is part of the BJP government at the Centre that has turned India into a hub of unemployment, has no right to speak on the subject of jobs and recruitment by the state government.
"Unemployment has risen at the fastest pace under Prime Minister Narendra Modi who did nothing after promising 2 crore jobs a year. In contrast, Telangana has recruited 1,60,000 youth with another 70,000 recruitments in process," he said.
"Can Kishan Reddy release a white paper on department wise recruitments by the Central government in the last ten years? And he will also do well to remember that his
associate in BJP, Bandi Sanjay was responsible for question paper leakages aimed at impacting the future of youth," he said.
"Was it also not the Centre that cancelled the ITIR project in Telangana which otherwise would have created a large number of jobs? The fact is, Telangana has become the ‘Akshaya Patra’ for jobs in the country. At least now, Kishan Reddy should stop playing with the lives and future of youth," Rama Rao asked.
Had the BJP government at the Centre kept its promise of setting up a steel factory at Bayyaram, a large number of jobs would have been created, but this was not done. The BJP, which cheated tribal youth on this front, will be taught a lesson. Similarly, the Centre did not set up a railway coach factory in Kazipet as was promised. Though Kishan Reddy became a Union minister, his presence at the Centre did not translate into anything positive for Telangana’s youth, he said.
