KTR files his nomination from Sircilla

Chief minister’s son and IT minister K T Rama Rao filed his nomination for Sircilla constituency on the last day of nominations on Monday.

In a bid to boost to his son’s campaign, the chief minister will also canvass for his victory by addressing a public meeting in Sircilla on Tuesday. 

Earlier, mild tension



prevailed at the RDO office in Sircilla when Congress candidate K K Mahender Reddy, who had also come to file his nomination around the same time, was asked to wait until KTR had completed the formalities of filing his papers. Mahender’s supporters shouted slogans for refusing to allow their leader into the office to file his nomination.
