BRS working president and IT Minister KT Rama Rao said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were trying to confine Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to Telangana.
Stating that Chandrashekhar Rao was the only voice for Telangana, which both Modi and Rahul Gandhi wanted to silence, he said at a press conference on Thursday. Earlier, he filed his nomination papers without much fanfare.
Stating that voters should think
carefully before exercising their franchise, Rama Rao said the people should think whether they wanted the BRS welfare schemes or Congress scams. As for the BJP, he said though the saffron party was in power for over nine years, it had done nothing for Telangana.
Chandrashekhar Rao, in the last 10 years, never resorted to caste or communal politics, he said, adding that the people should think whether they wanted to encourage that kind of politics by electing Hindu fundamentalists.
