KTR gifts handloom clothes to leaders

Industries minister KT Rama Rao presented handloom clothes produced by the Telangana State Handloom Cooperative Society (TSCO) to the Chief Minister, opposition leaders, Legislative Assembly speaker, Council chairman and ministers in the lobby of the Assembly on Tuesday.Rama Rao, along with officials, met each leader personally and presented the clothes with the mission to promote the use of handloom clothes.

them that TSCO launched Cheneta Lakshmi scheme under which if a member pays `1,000 per month for nine months, he would get `14,400 worth of handloom clothes in the tenth month.Rama Rao said TSCO products would be sold online through Amazaon, Flipkart and other leading online stores apart from TSCO’s website.

The minister appealed to the peoples’ representatives to wear handloom clothes at least one day in a week.
