BRS working president and state minister K.T. Rama Rao came out all guns firing in a fire-and-brimstone attack on Tuesday, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was peddling "outright lies," and calling him "blatantly dishonest, utterly disgraceful."
Rama Rao, who has taken to bitterly attacking the Prime Minister recently, calling him ‘mondi (stubborn)’ ‘tondi (trickster)’ and attacking him for his links with the industrialist Gautam Adani, called Modi’s comments on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao "highly condemnable."
It was a no holds barred attack by Rama Rao who was reacting Modi’s comments on Chandrashekar Rao at the BJP public meeting in Nizamabad on Tuesday, alleging that the CM had wanted to join the NDA and wanted to make his son (Rama Rao) the Chief Minister.
Rama Rao called Modi a "cheater" and declared that the BRS and "CM KCR will never associate with a cheater." He accused Modi of heading a fake news university, and running "jhoot" and "jumla" factories.
"These are outright lies," Rama Rao said on Modi’s claim of Chandrashekar Rao wanting to join the NDA. "We haven’t been bitten by a mad dog to lose our mind and go join the NDA. The NDA is a sinking ship."
"A Prime Minister displaying such blatant dishonesty is utterly disgraceful and condemnable. CM KCR is a fighter who would never associate with a cheater like Modi," Rama Rao said.
"We do not need a NoC from Modi to change the chief minister. Our party MLAs will decide. We are not slaves of Delhi or Gujarat. If Modi thinks his rants will shake us, or make us fearful, then he is mistaken," Rama Rao said on Modi’s comment that the Chief Minister wanted to hand over power to Rama Rao.
Modi "suffers from selective amnesia. If you are with him, then you are good and family does
not come into the picture. Everyone knows how alliances were made with Prakash Badal and Sukhbir Singh Bandal, in Kashmir it was with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and his daughter, he can work with Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh, the BJP can enter into an alliance with Bal Thakre’s son Uddhav Thakre. In these instances, Modi does not see ‘rajas’ and ‘yuvrajas’."
"When the PM talks about family politics, one must ask about Jay Shah's appointment as the BCCI secretary, despite having no qualifications for that position," Rama Rao said. "The Prime Minister ignores these facts and targets only the BRS."
He said parties like Shiv Sena, TD, JDU, Shiromani Akali Dal have already left the NDA. "What happened to cases against Himanta Biswa in Assam, Sujana Choudary in Andhra Pradesh, and Jyotiraditya Scindia in Madhya Pradesh once they joined the BJP," he asked.
"Modi spreads lies. He promised houses for all, drinking water to all houses, Rs 15 lakh in everyone’s account, double farmers income, and make India a $5 trillion economy. Modi and BJP are the biggest jhoot and jumla factories in the country. The PM should try his hand at storytelling and scriptwriting. He could win an Oscar," Rama Rao said.
Saying Modi’s education credentials were questionable and that he is chancellor of a fake news university, Rama Rao added, "It has become a habit for Modi to call the chief ministers of states he visits as the most corrupt and added that people of Telangana will give a befitting reply to BJP who will lose miserably in the upcoming elections."
Rama Rao also took Modi to task on the charge that BRS funded Congress in the Karnataka elections. "If BRS funded Congress in Karnataka, what was the income tax department doing," he asked.
