KTR hoists flag at Telangana Bhavan

As part of Telangana Liberation Day TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday hoisted national flag at party office Telangana Bhavan. 

Several TRS leaders and party activists were present during the flag hoisting program. The party has continued the tradition of hoisting national flag at Telangana Bhavan on the occasion of Liberation Day. Earlier, former Minister and senior leader Nayini Narsimha Reddy used to hoist the national flag.

Amidst the



demand to celebrate the Liberation Day, the chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the Assembly said that real liberation for Telangana was on June 2, 2014 and not September 17. He said the party would follow the tradition of hoisting national flag at Telangana Bhavan. He said that Telangana society had undergone trauma during 1948 and up on the suggestions of intellectuals, the government has decided not to celebrate the Day officially, the, CM said in the Assembly.
