Textiles and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao yesterday expressed displeasure at some apparel parks for violating norms. During a high level meeting with the officials he asked to take immediate steps to cancel the contract or lease period for the companies which are running other activities than the textiles business at Gundla Pochampally, Pasha Mylaram Apparel and Textile Parks.
KTR also asked the officials to set up training and skill development centers at the same place with complete facilities for handloom sector.
He also said that corpus fund will be arranged for the apparel and textile parks and the officials should try to get more
investments.
Tesco should make efforts for more sales, website, more stalls and make available to people and appoint community coordinators for the purpose. Holding review on schemes like Cheyutha, Cheneta Mitra and looms upgradation, the minister also sought about Bathukamma scheme and sarees to be prepared. The officials informed KTR about the arrangements for preparing sarees for the famous scheme by September third week.
For this we got help from SERP women groups on designs and quality. KTR also instructed the officials to take immediate steps to provide better facilities in Siricilla Apparel park and Kakatiya Mega Textiles park.
