Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao laid foundation stones and inaugurated a series of civil works worth Rs 73.66 crore in Sanathnagar and Secunderabad constituencies.

The civil works included foundation stones for a road from Kanakadurgamma Temple, Ameerpet to Fatehnagar Flyover at a cost of Rs 25 crore, expansion of the 25-bedded hospital at Ameerpet to a 50-bedded one at a cost of Rs 3.28 crore and for the construction of a BT road near KIMS hospital, Minister’s Road at cost of Rs 9.20 crore.

The Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Secunderabad Library at Monda Market, which will be developed at a cost of Rs 3 crore, and inaugurated the Boats Club Reservoir at Ramgopalpet, which was developed at a cost of Rs 4.20 crore. He also inaugurated the Marredpally Reservoir, constructed at a cost of Rs 11 crore.

To create parking space for devotees visiting the Balkampet Yellamma Temple, the Minister also laid the foundation stone for construction of a multi-level parking lot in about 600 square yards at a cost of Rs 3 crore.The Minister also inaugurated a model market at Pattigadda.

At the Fatehnagar Flyover, the Minister interacted



with the local Muslim community and assured to allocate land for a graveyard and in case a Government land was not available, to purchase it.

At Bansilalpet, the Minister assured residents that the registration of lands and issue of patta certificates to those who had not received them yet would be done and informed that Revenue and Endowments Departments had already initiated action on this front.

Later, the Minister inaugurated a multi-purpose function hall constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore at Bansillalpet. He said that two bedroom houses would be allocated to all eligible poor in urban areas very soon.

The Minister also laid the foundation for construction of a sports complex at Ghasmandi, Monda Market at a cost of Rs 2.40 crore.
Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister for Excise and Prohibition T Padma Rao Goud, Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare C Laxma Reddy, Minister for Endowment and Housing Indrakaran Reddy, Mayor B Ram Mohan, former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Special Chief Secretary (Housing) Chitra Ramachandran, GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy and other officials were present.
