The State government opened doors for South Korean investors for collaboration in various sectors, including textiles, automotive, IT, computer graphics, entertainment, Internet of Things (IoT) and augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR).

The Telangana delegation led by IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) besides wooing potential investors to explore investment opportunities in the State.

The Telangana delegation had a busy start at Seoul in South Korea on Monday which continued on Tuesday. Led by Minister KT Rama Rao, the delegation comprised Government Advisor G Vivek, Principal Secretary for IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan and other officials. They met front leaders from Hyundai Corporation, Hyundai Rotem, OCI and showcased investment opportunities in the State, besides holding talks with industry bodies and also potential



investors from Seoul and Daegu Metropolitan City for textiles, automotive and other sectors.

During the meetings on Monday and Tuesday, Rama Rao explained various investment opportunities in the State and also gave an overview of TS-iPASS, single-window clearance initiative for investors. He gave a presentation on Telangana’s progressive investment policies and sector-specific industrial parks being set up in Telangana.

On Tuesday, the delegation travelled on the high speed KTX train from Seoul to Daegu. Rama Rao was all praise for the high speed train which moved at a speedy of 300 kmph and was equipped with WiFi. “High speed rail connectivity is the only way for Indian tier-2 towns to eventually bridge the important Distance vs Time equation and compete with tier-1 cities,” the Minister tweeted.The Telangana delegation left for Japan on Tuesday.
