Fulfilling the promise made by the State government that it would ensure potable daily water supply to all the houses under the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) limits from ‘Ugadi’, IT and MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao formally launched the daily water supply by unvieling a plaque at Rampur village under the GWMC limits here on Monday.

The Minister, who arrived here around 9.10 am, was welcomed by Ministers Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathod, Government Chief Whip Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, and



other TRS leaders.

Rama Rao also inaugurated an eight lakh litre capacity Overhead Service Reservoir (OHSR) constructed at Rampur. This comprehensive water project was taken up at a cost of Rs 1589.37 crore, and is designed to meet the drinking water demand of the city residents till 2048.

After inaugurating the water supply scheme, the Minister left for Deshaipet by a special bus to lay the foundation stone for the construction of 2BHK houses.
