Information Technology and Municipal Administration Minister K Taraka Rama Rao began the Heli Tourism formally amid much enthusiasm and gusto even as many onlookers cheered to the first helicopter that took off for a joy ride. Tourism Minister A Chandulal, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Tourism Corporation Chairman Pervaram Ramulu and Secretary B Venkatesham and others were present.
Speaking on
the occasion, the minister expressed happiness over the new facility. KTR
appreciated the Telangana Tourism department for its efforts to begin the much
anticipated Heli Tourism. “Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was striving to
make the city comprising about one crore population, to be a global destination
with all facilities. Indeed the Heli-Tourism will attract more air travelers.
Each time four persons can take the ride on the city skies
and the helicopter
will make at least 10 to 15 sorties every day”, he said.
The Heli Tourism will sure cater to the needs of the people, who want to see the twin cities from the blue skies. It is a historic event that everyone will welcome, he said and called upon the people to take a joy ride. The joy ride is being availed for Rs 3,449 per head. Telangana Tourism and Indi-well Aviation Center have jointly taken up this program to have a glimpse of historical monuments and structures in the city, including Golconda, Charminar, Salarjung Museum and many others.
After launching the historic event of sorts, the KTR said the new facility will help the people. Chandulal said it is good day to see that the international level facility is available to the people in the city. He exhorted the people to enjoy the joy ride through the Heli Tourism that is available in most of the worldly nations. The Chief Minister was trying to make the City more beautiful with better facilities and infrastructure, he added.
