BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday said that the fight in the Assembly elections was between Delhi aristocrats and Telangana people with the latter having decided to opt for the ruling party.
Addressing a massive road show in Shadnagar on Sunday, the IT minister said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was fighting like a lion having decided to go it alone.
"Earlier also we fought elections alone and people backed us.
Even now they must support us and be assured of a number of people-friendly schemes," Rao said.
He wanted to know why Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi had failed to take care of Telangana. He said that the Congress party has failed to provide basic amenities in states ruled by it. The Telangana government has been fighting against Modi for the past few years seeking funds for the state.
